April 2020 Schedule Update
At Staton CPA, the well-being of our clients and staff is our #1 priority. We have been closely monitoring the development of the coronavirus situation, and making adjustments to our operations as the circumstances require. In keeping with that commitment, we have made the decision to suspend in-person meetings for the next 2 weeks.
We are continuing to work around the clock to complete tax returns as soon as possible. We will be available to review tax returns and other documents via telephone or video conferencing. We also have the capability for you to electronically sign the documents necessary to file your tax returns. If you’d rather wait until we are able to resume face-to-face meetings (as both the federal and NC tax deadlines have been automatically extended until July 15), that is perfectly fine as well. Please contact our office if you would like to postpone review of your tax return. We will send out another communication when we resume in-person meetings, and you can call our office then to schedule.
At this time, our offices are still open during normal business hours, so feel free to drop off or pick up your documents as you usually would. We ask that you follow all applicable social distancing guidelines and health recommendations from local, state, and federal authorities. If you are experiencing symptoms, we ask that you postpone your visit to our office out of consideration for the health of our staff and other clients.
We want to reiterate that the tax filing deadlines for Federal and NC tax returns (along with most other states) have been extended to July 15, and there are no filing requirements to secure these extensions.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unprecedented time, and will continue to do our utmost to provide the best possible service to each of you. As always, contact our office with any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to better times ahead and we are continuing to keep all of our clients in our prayers.
